A letter from Rose Paul, CVTA Boardmember:
Dear Friend:
The Cross Vermont Trail Association (CVTA) needs your help. Our mission is to create a safe, 90-mile, multiple-use trail across the state of Vermont, connecting 17 towns from Burlington to Wells River. We have an ambitious but attainable agenda. In order to achieve this, we need your financial contribution, however large or small, to help us continue our work.
Your donation will go to work directly on the trail. CVTA is big enough to be effective, but small enough to be efficient. With part time staff and Americorps members and donated office space, we have very low overhead. This minimizes overall costs, and maximizes every dollar we spend. Furthermore, contributions from local individuals and businesses are stretched even farther because we can use them to match and leverage many times greater amounts of grants that we compete for and win from State and Federal government and from charitable foundations.
If you've ever dreamed of having a safe local path to take your children bicycling or skiing on the weekends, or where you can ride your bicycle to work away from busy state roads, then please help to make that dream a reality.
